CRIMINAL SEXUAL CONDUCT

Sex offenses are serious matters.  There are often long, mandatory prison sentences.  If you are asked to interview with the police regarding an allegation of sexual misconduct, DON’T.  If the alleged victim calls you on the telephone, don’t talk about her allegation (the police record these “ambush phone calls”).  Call an attorney first.  If you think you are being accused or will be accused of a sex offense, call a lawyer immediately.  It does not matter if you did the crime or did not do it, you should call a lawyer.  You can call Paul Ahern for no charge at the 24 hour advice line (952) 473-5405 in an emergency.  However, please don’t think this means you can work your night shift and then call Paul Ahern at 5:00 a.m. when it could have waited until business hours.  You’ll get better advice when I’m awake.
